Paint [should already be on your computer]

IF YOU DO NOT HAVE PAINT
try goint to start> accesories>paint, macs DO NOT have paint!

Once i have 1 student, we shall begin, please pick 3 of the following to do each week, if you don't do 3 assignments each week [like you dont do any at all!] then you will be "Expelled" and have to wait till next week:

What is paint.NET and unFREEZ? I do have GIMP, but I can only do the gradient brushes...everything else is really complex. Anyways, I might like to join!

Okay, I'll start with GIMP. I'll do text effect #1, Google search, and the squiggly line one.

OK, so this is how i'd LIKE to do it, i want you guys to try this on your own, but i'll getchya started

Thee font is 042b42 or something like that, just look at 04 in www.dafont.com and you need to type in in GIMP in size 8,, outline it in black, and pick a color for the effect, smallest brush, and pencil

Okay, I searched for the font, but it doesn't show the right font.

try searcing 04 or something like that in dafont... if it doesn't show up you can substitute w/ a dif font.

Okay, I found a font, but how do I upload it to GIMP? (Sorry, I'm completely clueless!)

save it, unzip it [click extract all files] go to control panel>fonts on your start menue, and drag the folder for the unzipped font into there

Okay, what next? How do I outline it in black? Imust have the wrong font...

choose pencil tool>color black and draw around it in black,come to me once thats done ) and i'll tell ya how to make the colors

I love making text like this, i have a font called Borgine, and thats pretty good. Just search up Borgine in www.dafont.com and it should come up. You have to make the text kinda small, but not too small, cause then you can't see it (:

Make sure its white , and smallish, and then outline it in black to make it POP! would you remind me which effects you picked spotty =]

I picked text effect 1, but can I learn the other ones, too?

Text Effect1:
Now its outlined & all, just simply duplicate layer 1x, and bucket fill the letters on the end, [e, & e, in example]then duplicate THAT layer, and bucket fill the next to letters after that, repeat until you reach the middle, once you reach the middle, start bucket filling WHITE the way you just did, go filters>animation>playback to see it before you save

Save in 'My Documents' Save as animation, 150 milleseconds

Okay... I tried that, but it fills in the black outline and I can't save it as an animated file. Still confused...

You have to click the bucket fill in the WHITE PART!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And you have to save it as ".GIF" you have to type that after what you want to call it

i.e.
Mytext.GIF

OHHH!!! Now I get it!!! I'll try that soon - I'm decorating for Christmas right now!
