I saw a new wolf.... i ran over to him

"So, are you trying to start a pack? i know the best place to catch elk"

"winter is coming" i growled "Its going to be a cold one. Food is going to be scarce. Its going to be hard on all of us"

"Yes, yes it is..... i'm sure you'll do fine without me" i said and ran off, i like to leave wolves to do their... own deciding

(oops! sorry!)

I sniffed the air..."Elk" i grinned and took off running hoping nobody else could smell them. I was starved.

(its OK! LOL)
"Looks like ya finnally got here..... well, their all gone" i said, with a 'mini burp' as humans would call it "c'mon, i'll show ya the spot, the coyotes hang out here, and they're scavangers, ya know what that means?

"yep...leftovers. somebody has already got to them. Let's go, before those scrounges eat them all" and we took off running

"You gotta kill one on your own, or else all of it'll be gone" i took the lead, and took him to an icy area, where otters elk and moose were "shhh.. act like a coyote, stay small, and oh... thats right, your coloring means you don't look like a coyote, well, stay in that bush, and watch & learn, you try later ok?"

"yeah yeah. i will." after she left i started to think. those elks don't have much meat on them...neither do the moose. Thats when i decided to go look for some bison, down in the frost covered valley. I tore out of the bush and headed off.

{BTW, Ali's a girl LOL! }
I hearded up a couple elk, they're good tools to scare the bison with, i got them running towards the hot springs, then a stamped of Bison went by! Run elk run! I thought, run them off the cliff at least 3 elk and 4 bison tumbled off the cliff "Maska" I howled "I got some good meat!"

(i know! i forgot the 's' lol)

I spun around at Ali's call. I raced back, seeing she had killed plenty. I grinned "Nice work!"

{OH! lol, i g2g now, OK?}
"Yup, your turn now"

(ok! bye!)

"Ok...here goes nothing" There were a few bison munching on grass. I went around them, trying to find an opening in the underbrush. Once i found the spot...i pounced and wrapped my paws around a leg. I pulled it to the ground and immediately sank my teeth in. The other two ran away, but i got what i was looking for.

"Hm..... you can only do the elk chasin bout 2 x a day... try it later"

"I think bison taste better" i mumbled. Then the wind started to pick up. The clouds started to roll in, it looked as if it was about to snow. "Ali! come on! We need to find some shelter! there's a cave this way!" I barked. I ran off into the forest,and dove into the cave...hoping Ali was following me.

I didn't enter the cave... yet. i looked at the small cave above the hot springs, i couldn't leave him behind, not yet, "Come here! They're bears in there!" i shout

I chuckled "The bears don't mind! But, we should find a bigger place, its a bit small. Do you know of any where?"

"Hmm... hold on a second" i said "COLANIE" [yah... i'll spell my new buffalo how i feel like! LOL] i shouted

"Ali!" i called, i saw another wolf too, he came charging at me! I had no choice but to face my horns to him

I stopped in my tracks, sliding across the wet ground. "whoa. you guys know each other? A bison and a wolf. Interesting..."

"She.... kinda protects us in a way, bison can be very ..... threatining, later i'll show you a bighorn i know! Wait.... do you know him to?

"Possibly. I met one down in the valley a few days ago. He mistook me for a coyote. Then at second glance he realized that i was a wolf, he asked me if i was hunting and i said no, i was just passing through. I just can't remember his name...."

"hmm... why donchya introduce us?"

"ok, i'll meet you down there, i've got a...stop to make"
